College Entry and Graduation Rates

The Economist.com reports in Top of The Class on college entrance and graduation rates.  Many studies have shown that the United States is lagging behind other nations in education, so it’s always helpful to have some statistics and studies to back that up.  The United States lags behind the average in the graduation rate.  It seems strange, based on the amount of money we so readily spend on war and related initiatives.  It’s not like we don’t have the money to spend on education.  It would be great to see some correlations between military spending and education and that take into account possible causes for the results.
